Sterilization Center
Large-Scale EtO Sterilizer Exhaust Gas Treatment System
Our exhaust gas treatment system is designed to ensure the safe and effective degradation of ethylene oxide (EtO) emissions through a multi-stage chemical and biological process.
Three-Stage Acid Spray Reaction
EtO exhaust gas first undergoes a three-stage hydrochloric acid spray reaction, converting ethylene oxide into ethylene glycol.
- Primary degradation efficiency: 92–95%
Turbulent Tower System
The remaining 5–8% of residual EtO gas is further processed through a turbulent sphere tower system for advanced chemical treatment.
- Combined degradation efficiency after secondary treatment: 99–99.5%
& Anaerobic Biodegradation
Low-concentration EtO present in surrounding sterilizer air and the evaporation chamber is captured via an axial flow fan system. The extracted gas:
- Is absorbed in a water bath
- Enters a sealed anaerobic treatment tank
- Is metabolized by specially cultivated anaerobic bacteria
Aerobic Biodegradation
Effluent from the anaerobic system is transferred to an aerobic treatment tank, where domesticated aerobic microorganisms continue biodegradation under oxygen-rich conditions.
Ecological Integration
Residual biological byproducts form surface foam composed primarily of proteins and polysaccharides. This biomass:
- Serves as a nutrient source for plankton
- Supports higher-level organisms within the ecological treatment system
Closed-Loop System
The treated water is circulated through an enclosed ornamental aquatic ecosystem.
- Ornamental fish activity serves as a biological indicator for BOD and COD levels
- No wastewater is discharged externally
- Artificial waterfall and rockery structures increase dissolved oxygen
- Aquatic plant roots and microbes provide additional polishing
Final Performance
EtO Removal 99.9998% Or Better
Process & Operational Capabilities
EtO removal efficiency of 92–95%.
Achieves 99–99.5% EtO removal.
Advanced processing with up to 99.9998% EtO removal efficiency.
Land Area & Infrastructure
- Large Center: 7-10 acres. Offers the best input-output ratio and modular expansion.
- Medium Center: 5-7 acres.
- Site Selection: Far from residential areas, preferably with good vegetation. Existing factory renovation is acceptable.
Sterilization Chamber Workflow
Operates within fully automated chambers, managed by a centralized control system with safety interlocks. No personnel are present during operation.
- Explosion-proof automated forklifts transport loaded trays.
- Doors seal/lock automatically upon receiving instructions.
- Comprehensive safety self-check proceeds before any sterilization begins.
Ecological Terminal Treatment
During decomposition, low-concentration EtO transfers into a closed hydration system, maintaining OSHA compliance. A managed microbial process biodegrades EtO into Carbon Dioxide and Water at ambient temperature.
Water meeting quality standards routes to a controlled landscape ecological pond for final polishing. Aquatic organisms function as biological indicators, coordinating with online sensors to track water safety.
A rooftop solar PV system supplies power, while rainwater collection feeds the aerobic treatment, aligning with green infrastructure principles.
